Akira Yamanaka Architects is a London-based architectural practice working on residential projects, housing schemes and retrofit.

The studio focuses on environmentally responsible design, with particular experience in low-energy and Passivhaus-informed projects. Current work includes a high-performance house extension in London and housing schemes in Reading.

The approach combines spatial design with technical clarity, ensuring that projects are not only well considered conceptually, but can be delivered efficiently on site. Early-stage studies, option testing and coordination are used to define viable schemes before construction.

The studio works closely with clients, consultants and contractors to manage design decisions, buildability and performance from concept through to delivery.
