Andrea Jung is an architect with a broad range of experience and is passionate about sustainable design. Arriving in in the UK from Berlin in 1996, she led large, international commercial projects for KPF International for over a decade. In 2006 she co-founded small practice TURN Architects, focussing mainly on residential work in London. Joining the public sector in 2020 via the Public Practice Associate Programme, Andrea worked client-side in Local Authority housing delivery, promoting Passivhaus design and certification. As Development and Design Manager for Newham Council’s Affordable Homes Programme she led several affordable new homes developments to Passivhaus standard – most now  completed Passivhaus certified homes. She joined Islington Council’s New Homes Development Team as Technical Design Manager in 2021, responsible for setting sustainable performance standards. In 2026 Andrea is focussing on becoming a Passivhaus Designer and deep-retrofitting her own home – hopefully to EnerPHit standard.
