I am a Chartered Architect with 30 years of experience in designing buildings. My interest in low-energy buildings originated from my tutors at Nottingham University in the 1990s, Drs Robert and Brenda Vale, known for their books “The Autonomous House” and “Green Architecture.” With extensive expertise in residential design and renewable technologies, I am also a Certified Passivhaus Designer. Currently, I am involved in designing two Passivhaus homes and conducting PHPP calculations for planning applications. My design philosophy focuses on creating straightforward, refined buildings that provide comfort, operational efficiency, and enhance the quality of life for occupants.
