Florence’s expertise stems from working for 25 years as a Buildings Services professional, a Chartered Mechanical Engineer, building physicist, and HVAC engineer at Arup. She set up humblebee in 2018 to pursue her passion for regenerative design.

A Certified Passivhaus Designer, Florence helps clients improve people’s homes (new and existing). Recent projects include deep retrofit, carbon and bio-based materials advice, her own home retrofit project and a Passivhaus dwelling in the Lake District.
