As the UK’s leading rural housing provider, it supports communities in 70 local authority areas across the south of England; from Cornwall to Norfolk. Its roots are in innovation and this has led to specialisms in rural communities and in climate protection. By 2019, Hastoe had delivered 12 Passivhaus schemes including the UK’s first rural affordable Passivhaus scheme at Wimbish in Essex. This scheme continues to provide useful insights into Passivhaus developments in the UK.
