Martin Ingham is an independent consultant specialising in energy efficiency in the built environment. He is a Certified Passivhaus Designer and has a background as a Chartered Civil Engineer and Business Consultant. He has an MBA in Strategic Carbon Management from the University of East Anglia, and has increasingly focused on Passivhaus as being a proven means to deliver low energy buildings.Martin advises clients on their projects from concept through to post-occupancy evaluation. He believes it essential that we ensure our buildings deliver for their occupants – in practice not just in theory. Martin has led performance evaluation studies funded by InnovateUK (formerly the Technology Strategy Board) and by ERDF, of domestic new build and refurbishment, as well as non-domestic new build. Studies include ongoing assessment of the award-winning Wimbish Passivhaus development.
