Progress in Practice Ltd
Progress in Practice is an award-winning design studio based in Greater Manchester, specialising in low energy construction and retrofit. Our highly qualified team consists of qualified Architects, certified Passivhaus Designers, a Retrofit Co-ordinator and an AECB Certifier.
Recently featured on “Guy Martin’s House Without Bills” on Channel 4, PiP’s work focusses on improving the comfort and health impact of the buildings we work on, and radically reducing energy demand.
Our passion lies in Passivhaus and low carbon design and we like to approach every project holistically, considering the way in which a building impacts both people and the planet. We approach this in a collaborative way with clients and colleagues, using the principles of Codesign wherever possible. Co-design is a tried and tested route to spaces and places which are responsive and appropriate to the wants and needs of their user. The methodology facilitates the creation of designs which are truly valued and therefore stand the test of time.
Progress in Practice offers a range of architectural design and sustainability services, starting from concept design all the way through to Contract Administration and after care. To help make your project as sustainable as possible, we offer PHPP modelling (Passivhaus Planning Package), thermal bridge calculations, embodied carbon calculations and AECB Carbonlite Certification.
