Junko Suetake is a Japanese architect and certified Passivhaus designer. Her design is characterized by a considered approach to comfort, climate and landscape, using locally made materials where possible. The aim is to create sustainable development, which meets user’s needs, without compromising design quality. She has produced innovative and award-winning spaces for various happy clients in the UK and Japan and believes in the efficacy of collaboration and sharing knowledge with others such as the PHT. The last 20 years have been dedicated to sustainable housing, school projects, and a low energy straw bale community building.
