- U-value library including values for common materials and buildups
- Orientation – autofill the bearings of each wall, and view the outline of the building as a crosscheck
- Check PHPP – easily navigates through your PHPP to check and correct values
- Windows – quickly calculate and fill values for a range of different pane and frame configurations
- D-reveal – enters the d-reveal where there is cover
- as well as the ‘Extend PHPP’ feature Energy Variants, which creates a comparison graph to display a breakdown of energy demand across different options entered in the variants tab.
PHribbon requires PHPP and Microsoft Excel for PC/Mac. Macs no longer need a PC Emulator.
Free training videos are available to help use the software.
You can buy these extra modules from the AECB shop:
- Whole Life Carbon – this calculates embodied and operational CO2 to the RICS 2nd Edition standard, using your existing PHPP data combined with a comprehensive and regularly updated materials library of embodied carbon data (listed in the shop as AECB PHribbon Package, meaning the Build PHPP buttons above + Whole Life Carbon).
- Costings Module – A retrofit costs options add-on tailored for the UK, that calculates Net Present Value, and automates the PAS2035 Improvement Option Evaluation process entirely within PHPP.
- Daylight Factor Module – A simple but powerful tool that makes daylight assessment quick and easy. Designed by Mark Siddall of LEAP.
All three of these extra modules require the full version of PHribbon, but if you have installed the free version then you only need replace your existing PHribbon file with the new one provided – you do not have to reinstall on PC or Mac.
